Περίληψη

The notion of the lexical error is especially difficult to pinpoint and define mainly because it lies within a rather fuzzy area, between ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, and no absolute compliance among users should be expected concerning the existence of an error and its actual gravity. Things become even worse in cases of lexical doublets (Fergusson 1959), such as ‘στις μία η ώρα /στη μία η ώρα’, ‘αθλητίατρος/αθλίατρος’ etc. In this piece of research future teachers of Greek evaluate specific lexical doublets through the prism of fuzzy set theory and via the V&V bar.
